Mary Meanwell
Certified Human Resources Professional, Certified Human Resources Leader
Mary Meanwell holds a Masters of Business Administration degree, a Bachelor of Commerce degree and an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree. Mary’s expertise is in Human Resources management and consulting. Her early career involved fourteen years of progressive Human Resources management in varied settings that include a national pharmacy, a prominent energy company, and a start-up joint venture auto parts plant. For the past twenty years, she has managed Bridgewell Associates Inc., a consultancy practice she developed and maintains in Southwestern Ontario.
A member of the Human Resources Professional Association of Ontario (HRPA) for several years, Mary holds a CHRP/CHRL designation. She also holds a certificate of National Certified Investigator/Inspector Training Specialized Program granted by the Council on Licensure, Enforcement and Regulation in conjunction with Eastern Kentucky University (2008).
Mary was a member of the Michigan Ontario Compensation Association (MOCA), lectures in the Odette School of Business at the University of Windsor and is active in community projects and volunteer work.
HR Project Management Experience
Mary’s HR consulting experience has covered a variety of Human Resources interests including recruiting and selection, training, facilitation, compensation, HR technical writing, third party harassment investigations, strategic planning, and organizational reviews. Notable throughout her career are several full HR department start-ups, as well as preparation and implementation of HR systems including recruiting and selection, compensation, performance management, employee communications, investigation processes, employment policy writing and employee handbook preparation.
An important segment of the work of Bridgewell Associates Inc. involves mutual respect and harassment and workplace violence prevention training. Another significant portion is based on transitional HR work, i.e. assisting companies with HR changes, whether by systems requiring total creation or revamping, or projects requiring expertise in one aspect of the HR function. Mary also provides policy and other HR technical writing and she acts as an external, on-call HR Manager and coach for a variety of clients in Southwestern Ontario.
