Paul Meanwell

Paul Meanwell holds a Masters of Business Administration degree, a Bachelor of Commerce degree and an Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Paul’s expertise is in transferable management skills among different industries, functional areas, and organizational structures. His career has involved several years with a major energy company in positions of increasing management responsibility in industrial sales, engineering, operations and administration. Subsequently, as General Manager of an independent telecommunications company, he was responsible for all aspects of its operation including financial and regulatory concerns. Most recently Paul has served as a director on the board, and subsequently as Executive Director, of the Windsor Symphony Orchestra.

An ongoing area of accomplishment in Paul’s career has been the successful completion of a variety of projects in new technologies, alternative outsourcing, and business process improvement. Between project environments and line management responsibilities Paul has effectively led a range of groups from small teams to a staff of 70.

A member of Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO), Paul has also led or served on a variety of committees and boards in the Ontario, Canadian and American natural gas industries, and in the Ontario and Canadian telecom industries, holding board positions on the Ontario Telecommunications Association (OTA) and as President of the Canadian Independent Telephone Association (CITA). He has been active in community projects and volunteer work, including serving on the board of Libro Credit Union.
